Job summary

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma.
• 2-year community college diploma (DSW/CYW/SSW) or university degree in a child-related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience working with children with a variety of physical, intellectual disabilities and behavioural or other learning difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in classrooms with students who have special needs.
• Assist in a special education setting (social adjustment, communication, learning disability).
• Support students' academic development and address physical, emotional and hygienic needs.
• Work as a team member to assist the assigned students and contribute to the educational program.
