Job summary

The University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment in English & Drama. The successful candidate will develop an outstanding, externally funded research program, teach at the Mississauga campus, and join the graduate faculty of English at St. George.

The role requires a PhD in English or related field, evidence of research and teaching excellence, and the ability to contribute to Game Studies with innovative storytelling and world-building perspectives.

Qualifications

• Evidence of research excellence through publications, talks, and awards.
• Teaching dossier, including required materials and strong letters of reference.
• Samples of creative work welcome and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Pursue innovative, independent research and establish a funded program.
• Hold an undergraduate appointment at UTM and join the Graduate Faculty of English.
• Teach undergraduate courses at Mississauga and graduate courses at St. George; supervise PhD dissertations.
• Contribute to development and administration of Game Studies programs.
