Rocky View Schools (RVS) is seeking a temporary full-time School Counsellor for Springbank Community High School, starting immediately and finishing June 29, 2027. A Masters in School Counselling or related field is required, along with eligibility for an Alberta Teaching Certificate.

The role requires five years of teaching or counselling in a school setting, and a current vulnerable sector check within 30 days of employment. External applicants are welcome to apply through the district.

The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) teacher certificated School Counsellor position starting immediately until June 29, 2027 at Springbank Community High School. A Masters in School Counselling, Counselling Psychology or Educational Psychology is required for this position.

Pre-employment Requirements

• Five years teaching or counselling experience in a school setting.
• Applicantsmust possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education at www.alberta.ca/teacher-certification.

External Applicants

• External applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months.
• The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment.
