Qualifications

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider.
• Fluency in English (oral and written) is a must.
• 3 Years of experience in security is preferred.

Position

Position: Security Guard
Site: Jackson Park, 125 Tecumseh Road East
Hours: Saturday-Sunday, 11:00pm - 7:00am
Payrate: $18.35 - $21.35
Overtime: AA
Internal Posting Date: October 20, 2025
Internal Closing Date: October 24, 2025
External Closing Date: November 14, 2025

Key Responsibilities

• Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed
• Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly
• Enthusiastically conduct proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public
• Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedic resources.
• Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries
• Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person
• Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client’s staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.
• Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client.

Prerequisites

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
• English (oral and written) fluency is a must
• 3 Years of experience in security is preferred
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre‑employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
