Position: Security Guard

Site: Jackson Park, 125 Tecumseh Road East

Hours: Saturday‑Sunday, 11 pm – 7 am

Payrate: $18.35

Overtime: AA

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist visitors and employees during a crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed.
  • Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly.
  • Enthusiastically conduct proactive patrols (exterior and interior), and address policy breaches, and note facility concerns.
  • Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner to prevent panic among the public.
  • De‑escalate crises, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedic resources.
  • Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries.
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person.
  • Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client's staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.
  • Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client.
Prerequisites
  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider.
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must.
  • 3 years of experience in security is preferred.
  • Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF) / Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to onboarding training to meet the position requirements.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Please be aware : The UOF / MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre‑employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all costs of the certifications with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.

Education Requirements

College / University Education.

Certification Requirements

Valid Ontario Security License.

Valid Certification in First Aid, CPR and AED.
