Job description

St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a temporary part- time Grade 7 teaching position at Sacred Heart School in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. This is a part-time position with a focus on Grade 7 Language Arts and Math. Experience with or knowledge of Daily 5 and/or guided reading, literacy/numeracy interventions, and a willingness to support extracurricular programming is an asset. This position will begin August 27, 2026 and end June 25, 2027.

Ability to assist in the schools co-curricular and extra-curricular programs would be considered an asset. Possessing a certificate in Catholic Education from St. Joseph's College is an asset.

The Government of Canada offers Student Loan Forgiveness to teachers who work in Wetaskiwin for 10 consecutive months and has a student loan in good standing. You could receive up to $30,000 over a maximum of 5 years. Please check out the link here:
