Job summary

South East Cornerstone Public School Division invites applications for an Educational Assistant at Estevan Comprehensive School in Estevan, SK. The role is temporary, starts as soon as possible, and ends June 25, 2027, with duties aligned to support students with diverse needs for about 3 hours per day on school days.

The position requires a Grade 12 diploma, adaptability, teamwork, a valid driver’s license, and relevant educational background.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma required.
• Ability to adapt to change and work collaboratively in a team.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Educational assistant diploma or equivalent background assets (NVCI, First Aid, Autism/Behavioral) are advantageous.
• Familiarity with school software such as word processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students with diverse needs and/or high behavioral needs.
• Transport students as required (personal vehicle may be needed).
• Attend to personal hygiene and medical needs when required.
• Prepare and plan student-based life skills and academic programming under teacher direction.
• Assist with transitions and implementing behavior and safety plans.
• Supervise intensive needs students and small groups as needed.
