An educational institution in North Vancouver is seeking a skilled ICT Computer Systems Technician to maintain and repair computers and related electronic equipment. The ideal candidate will have a two-year diploma in computer systems technology and at least two years of relevant experience. This part-time position is unionized, offering a competitive hourly wage and benefits as per the Collective Agreement.

ICT Computer Systems Technician
40 hours / week 12 months

This is skilled technical work involving the repair maintenance alteration installation and network management work of a variety of computers and related electronic equipment and software for the School District. An employee of this class exercises considerable independent judgement and action in completing assignments and works closely with School District staff on assigned projects. Oral and written assignments are received from a supervisor. Work performance is checked and reviewed in terms of conformance with required standards and effective services rendered.
Completion of the 12th grade or equivalent plus completion of a recognized two year diploma program in computer systems technology.
Minimum two years related experience as a computer system technician or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred to have completed Foundations Certificate in ITIL V4 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) CompTIA A or equivalent (for Windows Environment) ACSP Apple Certified Support Professional 10.13 or higher (for Mac environment).
This is a unionized position and the current rate of pay is $35.33 per hour shall be entitled to benefits as per the Collective Agreement who have successfully completed the prescribed period of probation. Please see Article 6.1 of the Collective Agreement for more information.
