Qualifications

Job Details

Position: Temporary Full Time Healthcare Security Guard

Site: Kentwood Park - 2 Ontario St, Picton ON K0K2T0

Hours: Continental Days and Nights (08:00 - 20:00 / 20:00 - 08:00)

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Overtime Method: Ontario Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 Hours

Internal Posting: November 6, 2025

Internal Closing: November 13, 2025

External Closing: December 31, 2025

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct visitors courteously
• Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, and property
• Conduct proactive and reactive patrols (interior/exterior)
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed
• Complete detailed reports and investigations of incidents
• Monitor patients and enforce policies and by-laws
• Manage access control, keys, and perform safety inspections
• Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Valid Security License for Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C from a WSIB-approved vendor
• Proof of minimum double COVID-19 vaccination
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella MMR, Varicella, TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
• Applicants who are not immunized or unable to provide MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be eligible

• 1+ year security experience - an asset

• Must commute to Kingston for pre‑deployment training
• Must be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding to meet requirements
• Training is not paid, but Paladin will cover all costs with a 6‑month commitment
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
