Job summary

South East Cornerstone Public School Division is seeking an energetic School Bus Driver to transport students along Yellow Grass Area Route #80-106. Start date ASAP with end date December 22, 2026. Position is temporary, approximately 5 hours per day in a split shift, with a full benefit package and an employer defined pension plan.

Qualified candidates will hold a Class 5 driver’s license with S endorsement, First Aid & CPR, and a clear driving abstract. Training is provided if needed.

• Valid Class 5 license with S endorsement.
• First Aid & CPR certification.
• Clear driving record and safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school on the scheduled routes.
• Adhere to route timelines and district safety procedures.

Job description

South East Cornerstone Public School Division is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and fun person to fill the role of School Bus Driver. If you are a parent or grandparent who currently drives students to and from school, you are an ideal individual to fill this role. For parents with non-school age children, we can provide certain safety seating so they can accompany you and their older sibling(s).

Approximately 5 hours per day, split shift

Duties

In addition to those duties outlined in the job description, duties include transporting students to and from school.

Qualifications

• Class 5 Driver's License with "S" Endorsement
• First Aid & CPR
• Clear Driver's Abstract
• Commitment to the ideals of public education as well as the mission, vision and guiding principles of the South East Cornerstone Public School Division

Salary & Benefits

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the currently negotiatedSEIU-West Collective Agreement as listed on our website www.secpsd.ca. The starting wage for this position is currently a daily rate of $85.81 plus $0.17 per kilometer along with a full benefit package and an employer defined pension plan.
