As a Temperature Control Mechanic/HVAC, you may perform maintenance, repair, alteration and installation of HVAC control devices, system configurations and air balancing.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a post-secondary education in a related trade or technology program.
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of (5) five years' experience in HVAC / BMS controls and building maintenance; preferably in a hospital setting.
- Experience with pneumatic controls operation and calibration.
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC\"s) and Direct Digital Controllers (DOC).
- Physically able to carry out the duties of the position, i.e. able to walk a significant portion of time, climb ladders. work in awkward positions, lift or move heavy material or equipment (up to 22 Kg), work in hot or dirty environments.
- A good understanding and working experience with computers and computer applications such as computerized maintenance management systems, Microsoft 365.
- A understanding of indoor air quality, HVAC system troubleshooting and ability to review drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of energy management strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills required to successfully analyze and resolve system related problems.
- Strong inter-personal communication skills.
- Alberta Health Services Facilities Maintenance & Engineering is team oriented and client service focused; must have good interpersonal skills and complete repairs and installations with due consideration to patients, staff and visitors; must be able to communicate clearly in English; both verbally and in writing.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Delta Control systems and networks is an asset.
- Experienced as a Controls Technician.
- System Designer, Graphic Designer and/or Programming.
- Working knowledge of commissioning practices and documentation.
- In classroom training or equivalent.
- Additional trade certification: Electrician, Gasfitter, HVAC/R would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of established safety rules.
