Overview

Event Installation Crew and AV Technicians are the foundation of every Sea-to-Sky event’s success. Earn up to $30/hour + bonuses by working temp shifts on your own schedule.

POSITIONS

• Event Installation Crew
• AV Techs

DATES

Daily shifts on an ongoing basis based on events happening in the area.

DUTIES

• Event Installation – Assisting with the setup and takedown of event staging, gates, tents, signage, and other aspects of event preparation. There is lifting/bending involved, and heavy lifting up to 40 lbs.
• AV Techs – Assisting with the running and connections of cable and wiring including speakers, microphones, TV monitors, sound board, cameras, lighting and other equipment. Also includes unloading/loading of trucks and setting up heavy equipment.

HOURS

Choice of morning, evening, and overnight shifts for 4–12 hours. Overtime applicable after 8 hours.

LOCATION

Whistler, Squamish, & Pemberton

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Event Installation – General labour and/or construction experience preferred. Friendly, hard-working, and willing to pitch in where needed. Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads and stay on your feet for the duration of the shift. Steel toe boots required!
• AV Techs – Experience with AV equipment preferred (cable/wiring, speakers, microphones, monitors, lighting, cameras) and the ability to assist with setup and breakdown.

WAGE

$22–$30/hr + 4% vacation pay.

Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system with pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the higher your hourly rate, and many shifts include extra bonuses per hour. Ask us for more details.

STARTER TIERS (EXAMPLES)

• EVENT INSTALLATION – PROBY (Tier 1) = $22/hr start; REGULAR (Tier 2) = $24/hr after 10 successful shifts; HERO (Tier 3) = $26/hr after 20 successful shifts
• AV TECHNICIANS – PROBY (Tier 1) = $26/hr start; REGULAR (Tier 2) = $28/hr after 10 successful shifts; HERO (Tier 3) = $30/hr after 20 successful shifts
