Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Utility Construction Laborer for an Ontario project in Martintown. You will work with the crew to perform underground utility and civil construction tasks, operate equipment, and ensure safety under the Foreperson's direction.

Responsibilities include vehicle maintenance, site prep, conduit installation, and restoring sites. Travel to sites may be required, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Valid G driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Experience in underground utility, civil construction, or landscaping is a plus.
  • Ability to read underground telecommunication plans and work maps.
  • Strong time management and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and quick learning.
  • Clear and concise written communication for various forms.

Responsibilities

  • Performs regular vehicle maintenance checks and documents results.
  • Drives a cube van or 3-ton dump truck with trailer.
  • Keeps crew vehicles clean and organized.
  • Assists with excavations, conduits, and laying underground cables as directed.
  • Operates light equipment and handles items up to 50 lbs.
  • Reads locates and follows safe digging practices at all times.
  • Restores job sites to their original condition after work.
  • Maintains a safe work environment for crew and public.
