Vish is hiring a Technical Product Manager

Are you a product leader with strong technical instincts, a passion for data‑driven decision making, and the ability to translate complex requirements into exceptional product outcomes? Vish is looking for a Technical Product Manager to help shape the future of our platform and drive the next phase of innovation.

The Role

As a Technical Product Manager, you will guide the product through its full lifecycle (from discovery to delivery to continuous improvement) with a focus on deeply understanding technical constraints, system architecture, and scalability. You’ll be responsible for turning customer insights and business goals into technical requirements that drive meaningful impact. This is an on‑site role based in St. John's, Newfoundland.

At the local level, Vish helps salons eliminate waste, manage their inventory, increase service revenue and provide valuable insight into their colour business. At the global level, Vish will revolutionise supply chain management for the entire hair colour industry.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with Vish's business goals.
  • Maintain a prioritized product roadmap based on market analysis, customer needs, and business value.
Customer Feedback & Discovery
  • Establish and manage a robust customer feedback loop by conducting interviews, surveys, and analysing usage data to understand pain points and opportunities.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into detailed technical product requirements.
Lean Product Development & Iteration
  • Implement Lean principles (Build‑Measure‑Learn loop) to validate assumptions quickly through rapid prototyping and experimentation.
  • Define MVPs and phased rollouts to deliver value to customers early and often.
Requirements Management
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications for the engineering team.
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog in an Agile environment.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, engineering, design (UX/UI), and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the UX/UI Designer to ensure a cohesive and optimal user experience.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5–10 years as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role in software/SaaS.
  • Location: Must live in or be willing to relocate to St. John's, Newfoundland.
  • Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, data flows, and technical trade‑offs; able to communicate effectively with engineers.
  • Methodology: Hands‑on experience implementing customer feedback loops and working with Lean/Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Analytics Skills: Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar.
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence teams and manage cross‑functional alignment.
  • Domain Knowledge (Asset): Experience in beauty/salon tech, retail tech, or supply chain systems is an advantage.
