We are seeking an exciting and challenging career opportunity as a developer. Work Arrangements

This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement, and some roles may require more time in the office.

Responsibilities
  • Be part of a team of developers to design and enhance a wide range of solutions using a variety of backend technologies.
  • Recommend and implement system designs based on long-term IT organization strategy.
  • Work closely with business and systems analysts, and QA to develop alternative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Analyze production system problems and recommend solutions.
  • Investigate and solve production problems with minimal guidance.
  • Research and recommend technologies to the team and management to help keep our tech stack up-to-date.
Qualifications
  • Willingness and ability to learn new ways of working and different technologies.
  • Proficiency in C# .Net (VB.Net acceptable) with at least 1–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with SOAP and/or RESTful services.
  • Strong team player and ability to contribute as an individual contributor.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey information, concepts, and ideas clearly.
  • Hands-on experience using testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit) is an asset.
  • Experience with ORMs like Entity Framework is an asset.
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
