Job summary

MNP in Calgary is seeking a Technology Program Manager to lead data governance initiatives, shaping governance strategy and ensuring AI readiness, data quality, and regulatory compliance. You will partner with IT, business stakeholders and service lines to translate requirements into actionable governance solutions, leverage Microsoft 365 and Purview, and drive change through communications and training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading governance or business transformation initiatives in a complex org.
• Strong project and stakeholder management with delivery focus.
• Ability to influence leaders and build consensus across teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication translating complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Experience developing governance policies, processes, or operating models.
• Familiarity with data governance, privacy, compliance, or information protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, execution, and evolution of the Firm's Data Governance strategy.
• Drive governance initiatives for data quality, lifecycle, ownership, and AI readiness.
• Provide recommendations to leadership on risks and opportunities.
• Establish success measures and manage risks across initiatives.
• Build partnerships across Service Lines, Regions, IT and business stakeholders.
• Act as trusted advisor balancing business needs with governance.
• Collaborate with teams on Microsoft 365, Purview, data classification and retention.
• Translate business requirements into governance solutions for non-technical audiences.
• Lead governance communications, change management and training.
• Maintain governance documentation, policies, records, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, execution, and continuous evolution of the Firm's Data Governance strategy, roadmap, and priorities
• Drive governance initiatives and programs that strengthen data quality, ownership, lifecycle management, information protection, and AI readiness
• Provide recommendations to leadership and governance committees on emerging risks, opportunities, and governance decisions
• Establish success measures, monitor program outcomes, and manage risks, dependencies, and issue resolution across multiple initiatives
• Build strong partnerships across Service Lines, Regions, Resource Groups, IT, and business stakeholders to align governance practices with organizational objectives
• Act as a trusted advisor, influencing the adoption of sustainable data governance practices while balancing business needs and operational realities
• Collaborate with technical teams to support governance initiatives involving Microsoft 365, Purview, data classification, retention, reporting, and information management solutions
• Translate business requirements into actionable governance solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Lead governance communications, stakeholder engagement, change management, and training initiatives to drive awareness and adoption
• Maintain governance documentation, policies, records, and reporting to support oversight, compliance, and continuous improvement

Skills And Experience

• 5+ years of experience leading governance, program management, business transformation, or strategic initiatives in a complex organization
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and build consensus across business and technical teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, business-focused recommendations
• Experience developing governance frameworks, policies, processes, or operating models
• Familiarity with data governance, information management, privacy, compliance, or information protection practices
• Experience supporting change management, communications, training, and adoption initiatives
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Purview, or similar governance and information management technologies is considered an asset
