BridgePoint Financial has been the leading provider of specialized financial solutions for the Canadian litigation finance market for over 20 years by offering the most innovative and value-added funding solutions with an unwavering focus on client service. Our contributions to the rapidly evolving Canadian litigation finance market include important precedent decisions, creating the commercial market for legal cost indemnities and continuing market education initiatives. Our financing solutions include Settlement Loans, Inheritance Loans, Estate Practice Financing, and Law Firm Funding (Expert Report and File-Specific Funding).

This dynamic, rapidly growing business requires a seasoned professional who is disciplined and self-motivated, works well across teams, has a strong attention and a service mind.

Position: Technology Operations Specialist

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with three days per week in our downtown Toronto office

Salary Range: $75,000–$90,000 per year, depending on the successful candidate’s experience and seniority

Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

If you like solving problems end-to-end - not just fixing what's broken but building the systems and processes that keep an organization running smoothly - this could be a great fit for you.

We're looking for an energetic, motivated, and adaptable professional to join our growing business in a key operational role supporting major technology initiatives and company growth. Reporting to the IT Lead, the successful candidate will be a critical partner in modernizing and securing our technology environment - from Microsoft 365 and identity management to network infrastructure, security operations, and emerging AI tooling. You'll assess the needs of the business and the realities of our current environment to make sure the solutions you put in place hold up operationally today and scale with where we're headed next.

Key Responsibilities
  • Microsoft 365 & identity administration - Manage the M365 tenant (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, Intune, Purview) and Entra ID identity/access, including user lifecycle, conditional access, MFA, and SSO
  • Cloud & data resilience - Support Azure-hosted workloads and adjacent cloud services, maintain M365 backup/recovery, and govern Power Platform usage
  • End-user support & enablement - Provide first/second-line support (hardware, mobile, conferencing, telephony, access), manage onboarding/offboarding logistics, run the ticket queue, and produce documentation/training to reduce repeat issues
  • Asset & licensing management - Own the full laptop lifecycle (procurement through disposal) and the software/SaaS license register, tracking entitlements, flagging waste, and preparing usage data for renewals
  • Network & office infrastructure - Maintain firewall/VPN, switching, and wireless infrastructure, manage physical access systems, and own DNS/domain and hosting coordination
  • Cyber security operations - Operate endpoint protection/MDR alongside the security vendor, manage email security and phishing awareness, enforce patching/compliance/encryption/backup standards, and support access reviews and privileged credential management
  • Compliance support - Contribute to security and privacy compliance work, including Canadian privacy obligations
  • Vendor management - Act as primary contact for the MSP and specialist vendors, holding them to SLAs and clarifying scope boundaries
  • AI & automation - Evaluate and govern AI tools (e.g., Claude) in the IT environment, build automations that cut manual effort, and help set safe-use guardrails
Experiences, Skills & Qualifications
  • 3–7 years in IT systems administration, IT support, or infrastructure roles, with demonstrated progression in scope
  • Strong hands-on Microsoft 365 administration: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD - identity, groups, conditional access, MFA, SSO
  • Practical exposure to Azure cloud services and cloud-hosted infrastructure
  • Solid networking fundamentals: DHCP, DNS, VLANs, firewall administration, Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Endpoint management and security tooling experience (EDR/antivirus, patching, device compliance)
  • Windows device management; comfort supporting mobile devices and conferencing hardware
  • Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues patiently and clearly
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize across competing requests, and keep commitments without close supervision
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to Have
  • Salesforce administration exposure - user and permission management, license administration, integrated app support (Salesforce Administrator certification is a plus)
  • Scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python)
  • Experience in financial services, legal services, or another regulated industry
  • Familiarity with Canadian privacy and data protection requirements (PIPEDA)
  • Experience managing or coordinating third-party IT vendors
  • Ticketing and ITSM platform administration
  • Relevant certifications: Microsoft MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300, CompTIA Network+/Security+
Who Thrives Here
  • You're curious and genuinely interested in new tools - especially where AI can make corporate IT better - and you'll pick something up on your own rather than wait to be trained
  • You're a generalist by temperament. You'd rather own ten things partway across the stack than one narrow slice
  • You're organized about the unglamorous stuff: inventory accuracy, license records, documentation, renewal dates
  • You like people. Part of this job is making a frustrated colleague's day better
  • You use good judgment about when to solve it yourself and when to escape

Work with the industry's top talent on dynamic, engaging projects for the industry leader in this fast-growing business. Play a key role helping reinvent the industry. We take great pride in our work and the talented people who make up our company.

We're always looking for highly skilled, driven people who value a collaborative, open environment, and a flexible, professional culture.
