Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Fire Protection Engineer to join our Buildings team in offices across Quebec, including Montreal.

You will participate in the design and implementation of fire protection solutions for diverse projects, collaborating with engineers and technicians to deliver innovative, safe designs. The ideal candidate has a college diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent, 7 years of experience in fire protection, and strong NFPA and hydraulic

Qualifications

• College diploma in mechanical engineering or relevant training.
• 7 years of experience in fire protection.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards.
• Knowledge of HydraCalc software.
• Ability to perform and interpret hydraulic calculations.
• Understanding of fire safety engineering principles.

Your opportunity

Make a difference by joining our team of fire protection and building mechanics experts at our offices in Longueuil, Montreal, Quebec City, or Laval. You will be a key player in our great team and will participate in the design and implementation of various projects throughout Quebec, across the country, and even overseas, in institutional, industrial, and commercial settings for local and/or international clients. Major building projects are on the rise in Quebec. We work in a professional and collaborative environment where we do everything we can to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems. Your background

• College diploma in mechanical engineering or other relevant training;
• 7 years of experience in fire protection;
• Knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards;
• Knowledge of HydraCalc software;
• Ability to perform and interpret hydraulic calculations;
• Good understanding of fire safety engineering principles;
• ASP construction card (an asset);
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills;
• Knowledge of English is an asset in order to facilitate collaboration with our internal teams outside Quebec or with clients.
