Position Overview

This position reports to:

Production Supervisor

Based in Quebec City and reporting to the production supervisor, the assembler supports the business unit in achieving production goals by adhering to systems and processes. The unit produces chemical analyzers for various markets.

Responsibilities
  • Perform optical, mechanical, and electronic assembly of analyzers.
  • Conduct quality control on analyzers.
  • Perform final tests ensuring meeting quality standards.
  • Follow established processes.
  • Resolve issues encountered during assembly and testing.
  • Adhere to ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for personal actions and caring for colleagues and the company.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in electronic, mechanical, or optical assembly (asset).
  • Strong learning ability and analytical skills.
  • Autonomous, responsible, and versatile.
  • High quality and efficiency standards.
  • Meticulous and manual dexterity.
  • Good analytical sense.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Professional training diploma in areas such as electromechanics of automated systems, fixed machinery mechanics, welding and assembly, or metal fabrication (asset).
  • College diploma in physics, electronics, or related field (asset).
