Lesco Realty Inc. in Montreal is seeking an Accounting Technician / Property Accountant to support our residential and commercial property portfolio. You will manage bookkeeping, revenue, payables, and tenant communications while maintaining accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Exceptionally organized with strong multitasking and workload prioritization.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software and systems.
• Willing and able to learn quickly (training provided).
• Experience with residential property management software such as Proprio Expert, Hopem, KompasPM, Building Stack or Primo Residential, or Yardi (Breeze or Voyager) is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with accounting software like Sage or QuickBooks is beneficial.
• Familiarity with minor tax items.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including revenue, payables, customers, and suppliers.
• Ensure accurate rent roll and timely billings.
• Handle data entry, reconciliations, and payment processing.
• Send and follow up with tenant notices, Leads and new prospects and tenants.
• Adapt to new IT systems, property management & software implementations.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information.
• Maintain property books and records.
• Collaborate with the controller, CPA, tax specialists, property managers, and fellow staff.
• Be a team player and contribute to a positive work environment.
