Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a dedicated professional for our Transformateurs division. This permanent full-time role offers a stable manufacturing environment, competitive benefits, and opportunities for ongoing training within a leading global energy technology company.

The ideal candidate will have 12–24 months of relevant experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to read technical drawings. English proficiency is an asset; French language skills are also valued in our Quebec location.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in electronics or related electrical discipline
  • 12–24 months of relevant experience in industrial/manufacturing environments
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams and technical documents
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong teamwork, communication and positive influence abilities

Responsibilities

  • Use electrical measuring and testing equipment to verify product and equipment compliance
  • Review and apply technical documentation including quality advisories, technical instructions, checklists, drawings and procedures
  • Follow organizational processes related to quality, procurement, health and safety and manufacturing operations
  • Plan, prioritize and organize work activities to meet production objectives
  • Utilize internal systems for product identification, non-conformance tracking and continuous improvement
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues through detailed analysis
  • Share knowledge and mentor less experienced team members
  • Participate in development and improvement of work methods, instructions and testing procedures
  • Act as a technical resource and contribute to team operational excellence

Vos responsabilités
  • Utiliser les équipements de mesure et d’essais électriques afin de valider la conformité des produits et des installations
  • Consulter et appliquer la documentation technique pertinente (avis qualité, conseils techniques, dessins, listes de vérification, procédures et normes applicables)
  • Respecter les méthodes et procédures organisationnelles en matière de qualité, approvisionnement, santé et sécurité ainsi que les processus opérationnels en vigueur
  • Planifier, prioriser et organiser efficacement les travaux afin d’assurer l’atteinte des objectifs de production
  • Utiliser les différents systèmes internes pour l’identification des produits, le suivi des non-conformités et l’amélioration continue
  • Diagnostiquer et résoudre des problèmes complexes nécessitant une analyse approfondie et une recherche rigoureuse des causes
  • Partager ses connaissances et soutenir le développement des employés moins expérimentés
  • Participer à l’élaboration et à l’amélioration des méthodes de travail, instructions et procédures d’essais
  • Agir à titre de référence technique et contribuer à l’excellence opérationnelle de l’équipe
Notre candidat idéal
  • Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) en électronique, instrumentation et contrôle, électrodynamique, génie électrique ou dans une discipline connexe reliée à l’électricité
  • De 12 à 24 mois d’expérience pertinente dans un environnement industriel ou manufacturier
  • Capacité à lire et interpréter des plans, schémas et documents techniques
  • Bonne connaissance de la suite Microsoft Office
  • Excellentes aptitudes en travail d’équipe, communication et influence positive
  • Capacité à faire preuve d’autonomie, de jugement et de maîtrise de soi dans un environnement exigeant
  • Connaissance des systèmes métrique et international
  • Capacité à travailler dans différents environnements, notamment en hauteur, dans des espaces clos et à proximité d’équipements à haute tension (plus de 600 volts)
  • Aptitude à travailler dans des conditions variées comprenant l’exposition à l’huile, à la chaleur et au froid ainsi qu’à utiliser différents véhicules et équipements motorisés
  • Connaissance de la soudure (atout)
  • Anglais fonctionnel, à l’oral et à l’écrit (atout)

Our Ideal Candidate
  • College diploma (DEC) in Electronics, Instrumentation and Controls, Electrodynamics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or another related electrical discipline
  • 12 to 24 months of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical diagrams, and related documentation
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate self-control, sound judgment, and independence in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of both metric and international measurement systems
  • Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and around high-voltage equipment (over 600 volts)
  • Comfortable working with oil, heat, cold conditions, and operating vehicles and equipment such as trucks and aerial work platforms
  • Welding knowledge is considered an asset
  • Functional English, both spoken and written, is considered an asset
