Job description

Required

Some roles are measured by completed tasks. The trainer’s role is measured by transformations. Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to train, transform and rethink what no longer serves a purpose, reshape what needs to evolve and even completely overhaul how things are done. But you’re not doing all of these things for you—you’re doing them to serve our members and our clients every day. It is a discreet but powerful role of influence. You don’t seek the spotlight—you shine it on the right people. We believe that a trainer’s impact is measured by the learner’s success, and not by their own performance. If you share that belief, then this position is for you. As a trainer and coach, you support employees with their development by helping them to integrate what they’ve learned into their daily work in the Individual Insurance Division and New Business and Underwriting Administrative Department. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Provide individual or group coaching to learners to help them develop their skills

  • Ensure structured follow-up on integrating learning into the workplace

  • Help learners connect training to real-life situations in their role

  • Help employees to be more independent and confident in their work

  • Support problem-solving and encourage sharing of best practices

  • Encourage collaborative learning and continuous improvement

  • Work with industry experts to keep knowledge up to date and maintain credibility

  • Encourage employees to apply what they’ve learned practically to their work

  • Identify barriers to transferring knowledge and suggest appropriate solutions

  • Take on an advisory role with managers and employees to help reinforce learning

  • Collect and analyze field observations to improve learning paths and strategies

  • Help coordinate training activities, maintain educational tools and resources and encourage the use of learning platforms
