Job summary

A leading aerospace company located in Quebec seeks a Mechanical Technician to interpret technical documentation and perform maintenance on various industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a DEC in Industrial Maintenance Technology or Mechanical Engineering, experience with hydraulic and pneumatic machines is an asset, and must possess strong communication skills. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, contributing to a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

  • DEC in Industrial Maintenance Technology or DEC in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Maintenance experience on production machines is an asset.
  • Experience in maintaining hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic machines is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Good judgment and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours over 7 days, 24/24 hours.

  • Interpret plans, specifications and technical documentation for different industrial equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on various equipment.
  • Participate in the design, manufacturing and optimization of equipment.
  • Carry out work both at height and in enclosed spaces.
  • Use electric, pneumatic or manual tools.
  • Use measuring instruments like micrometer, vernier, caliper.

  • Interpret plans, specifications and technical documentation for different industrial equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. (Lathe, milling machine, CNC machine, sheet metal equipment, heat treatment, etc.)
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on various equipment using specialized tools.
  • Participate in the design, manufacturing and optimization of equipment.
  • Carry out work, both at height (nacelle, lifting platform) and in enclosed spaces.
  • Use electric, pneumatic or manual tools, depending on the operations to be carried out.
  • Use measuring instruments, such as micrometer, vernier, caliper, etc.

You have:

  • A DEC in Industrial Maintenance Technology or DEC in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Maintenance experience on production machines (an asset).
  • Experience in maintaining hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic machines (an asset).
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Good judgment and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours over 7 days, 24/24 hours, according to the collective agreement. (Day OR Evening OR Night)
