Job summary

A leading audiovisual technology company is seeking individuals to perform basic installation tasks for audiovisual projects. Responsibilities include pulling cable, installing connectors, and assisting with mechanical fabrication. Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines. A valid driver's license is required, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination is necessary prior to onboarding.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Perform basic installation tasks for audiovisual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication.
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
  • Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks.
  • Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring.
  • Travel to various job sites required.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.
Skills and Abilities
  • Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Minor programming capability (AMX/Creston) – changes and troubleshooting.
Education and/or Experience
  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver's Abstract that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards.
Working Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and can occasionally be required to drive to client sites. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, be able to climb ladders up to 20 feet tall and be able to work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
