Job Summary

Technician - Sample Management

As a Technician for our Sample Management department at the Senneville location you will be performing sample management activities and following directives from the study plans.

Responsibilities
  • Perform reception verification, storage, data review and sample inventories using the Watson LIMS computer system;
  • Generate study database in the Watson LIMS computer system;
  • Communicate with clients and testing facilities to inform them of the planned sample shipment schedule as well as all outgoing shipments to send them the confirmation of receipt of external samples and provide any other information as needed;
  • Perform preparation of the sample shipments to other locations, the archival preparation or disposition of the samples as well as all follow‑ups attached to these tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
  • College or Bachelor diploma in a relevant field;
  • Being able to perform repetitive motions such as handling frozen samples several times during the day;
  • Being able to move around in the freezer room, the office area and the shipping area;
  • Good working knowledge of computers;
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes based on priorities;
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently or in collaboration.

  • Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne Senneville QC H9X 1C1;
  • Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte‑Anne‑de‑Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station;
  • Salary: 21.50$ / hr.
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Day schedule Monday to Friday;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring full‑time 37.5hrs per week.
