Job summary

AVI-SPL Canada is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers at on-site locations, restoring functionality and delivering a world-class customer service experience.

You will work with Crestron, Biamp DSP, QSYS; read schematics; perform preventive maintenance; install and troubleshoot control programs; and travel to job sites as required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred.
• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• External training and certifications listed in the job ad are preferred.
• Crestron Professional Installation and Crestron Programming Certification preferred.
• AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals preferred.
• Extron AV Associate Certification preferred.
• AMX Programmer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service and preventive maintenance for AV systems.
• Install and configure control programs (Crestron/AMX) and networked devices.
• Troubleshoot video codecs and video conferencing hardware.
• Pull cabling, install connectors, mount projectors and ceiling mounts.
• Train end users and junior technicians as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety standards for all phases of the job.
• Travel to various job sites as required.

Job Summary

The AVI-SPL Field Service Technician will work in partnership with the Global Helpdesk to provide Service support for customers at on-site locations with the end goals of restoring functionality to our customers’ assets while delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

• experts in Crestron Programming, Biamp DSP and QSYS (DSP and Control).
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
• Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain a stable client-based system
• Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses monitors and equipment fans.
• Takes responsibility to accurately complete job documentation as needed
• Field installation of control programs (AMX / Crestron/Firmware) – upload and download capability
• Field service support of control programs (AMX / Crestron/etc.) – minor edits (could be with the aid of a programmer) compile upload and download capability
• Field service support of networked devices (Routers IP Protocols etc.)
• Perform service tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: pulling cable installing connectors mounting projectors and hanging ceiling mounts
• Provide necessary training and support for next level service technicians
• Provide end-user client training as needed
• Adhere to and understand health and safety standards for all phases of the job
• Setup and troubleshoot various video codecs/video teleconferencing hardware
• Travel to various job sites required

Education and/or Experience

Hourly CAD $36.62 CAD $56.75 Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
