Job summary

Oak Valley Health in Markham, Ontario, invites applicants for the Technician Extern Outpatient Pharmacy role. You will gain hands-on experience supporting unit dose dispensing and prepackaging within a hospital outpatient pharmacy setting.

The extern position aligns with the Ministry of Health's Enhanced Extern Program; enrollment in a Pharmacy Technician program is required and related experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Pharmacy Technician program at an accredited college.
• Some related pharmacy experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of drugs.
• Typing and computer skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit dose dispensing and prepackaging.
• Perform technical and administrative tasks supporting safe drug distribution.
• Support quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
