Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals invites applicants for a 12-month student internship to develop hands-on skills in heavy equipment tech. You will learn the business, shadow experienced technicians, and demonstrate safety-focused work habits while preparing for a full-time role after graduation.

Enrollment must be in an accredited trade school for related programs with at least nine months remaining. Prior technician/technical exposure is a plus, and relocation or local commitments may apply.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited trade school for heavy equipment, diesel, power generation or fleet related program.
• Must have at least 9 months left in the program.
• Completion of one series of classes in the listed programs is preferred.
• Some related work experience, especially technician or technical roles.

Responsibilities

• Over the course of up to 12 months, students perform specific job tasks while demonstrating potential to join the team as an entry level Technician upon graduation.

Job Description Summary

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range

24.41 - 35.08
