THE COMPANY

At Anthratech Western Inc. (AWI) we provide water treatment solutions for industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment plants in Canada, the United States and select international markets. AWI is privately owned, with our head office and research and development facility located in Calgary, Alberta.

THE POSITION

The Technical Services Representative is responsible for conducting filter inspections and pilot filtration studies at water treatment facilities in Canada. This role involves data collection, on‑site testing, report writing and providing technical support to clients via phone and email. The representative will work closely with the Technical Services Team to offer support in areas such as filter media quality control, Phoenix filter optimization components, troubleshooting and filter commissioning.

Areas of focus include:

  • Attending project sites to conduct inspections and pilot filtration studies and writing accompanying technical reports and papers.
  • Supporting other AWI Teams to ensure quality control and assurance plans are maintained.
  • Supporting AWI Project Teams in active project workload.
  • General maintenance and upkeep of AWI's Research and Development Facility and equipment.
Qualifications
  • A relevant certificate, diploma or degree from an accredited institution or minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experienceworking in a water treatment plant is a very strong asset.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is a very strong asset.

  • Technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A high level of accuracy, quality control, analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across departments.
Hours of Work
  • Core office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • This is an on‑premises role, with frequent travel to various locations across Canada based on project requirements.
