The Technical Service Representative, Acute Care Therapies

The Technical Service Representative, Acute Care Therapies is responsible for field repairs, responding to emergency calls and scheduling preventive maintenance visits to meet service agreement obligations while focusing on quality service and customer satisfaction for the Acute Care Therapy division. In addition, the position will be expected to pursue the renewal of existing service contracts and identify & close new service contract opportunities in order to grow the service business in that region.

The Position

This role is responsible for:

  • Calibrate/service electrical or electronic medical equipment and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions.
  • Provide service depot, on-site and telephone technical service support for the installation, inspection, repair and preventative maintenance of products for customers.
  • Maintain positive, professional communication with customers, team members and the Technical Support group.
  • Document all activities in accordance with Service policies and procedures.
  • Make decisions based on policies and procedures, and discuss and refer unresolved customer service issues to the Manager.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Sales team.
  • Maintain all service contracts in accordance with service policies and procedures and actively pursue the renewal of existing contracts. This includes, identifying potential service contract customers, providing contract quotations and ensuring the timely closing of all new contract proposals.
  • Protect company assets and maintain loaner and test equipment, spare parts inventory, and other company equipment and supplies in good condition and working order.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements and trainings.
  • Build quality into all aspects of work.

This role will be located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for the following experience, knowledge and abilities:

  • Biomedical Technology Diploma or Degree.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in as a field service representative or bio-med or in technical repair or related technical field.
  • Very strong technical proficiency in using schematics, system diagrams and repair/replacement procedures to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate of all products assigned.
  • Customer-oriented and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detailed oriented, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter.
  • Valid passport required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

The salary range for this position will be CAD 66,500.00 to 75,000.00 (total compensation).
