A leading infrastructure technology company is seeking a Technical Sales Representative in the Greater Toronto area. This role involves managing sales activities with engineering consultants and contractors while developing solutions that enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical engineering, at least 5 years of sales experience, and strong interpersonal skills. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $68,170 to $85,213 annually, along with a robust benefits program.
This position will contribute to overall sales for Vertiv in the Greater Toronto and Southwest Ontario market. The Technical Sales Rep manages all sales activities at assigned mechanical engineering consultants, contractors and with key end users such as in the data center, IT edge, and telecom space. The Representative works independently, is creative, and a critical thinker. The Representative is required to solve customer problems with innovative solutions for their requirements by offering the most competitive, thorough product and pricing plan to meet the customer’s needs while exceeding sales quotas and business objectives. The role requires travel within the territory to build relationships and visit sites to propose solutions.

The overall anticipated total compensation package for this role is between $113,617 to $142,021 per year, inclusive of base salary and eligibility for a monthly sales incentive plan. Since monthly incentive compensation is variable, performance-based, and not guaranteed, the estimated base salary range for this role in the locality of Greater Toronto area is between $68,170 to $85,213 per year; salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilisation, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, disability, PTO, holiday pay, employee and family assistance program, and pension.
