Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of external sales experience, preferably in indirect sales.
  • Experience in the wastewater application and municipal market is beneficial.
  • Must be eligible to work and travel in Canada.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Technical Sales Representative – Municipal

As our newest Technical Sales Representative – Municipal , you will lead the municipal waste water treatment sales growth through an independent manufacturer representatives network. You will enjoy promoting the sales and marketing strategy in front of contractors, engineering firms and municipalities to ensure that the company business goals of customer satisfaction, growth, market share and profitability are met. With your strong knowledge of compressed air systems and the low pressure market, you will develop a thorough understanding of the market conditions (e.g. current customers, competitors, opportunities) for the assigned region, and develop and execute a strategy to achieve revenue goals.

The Technical Sales Representative – Municipal reports to the Business Line Manager – Air and Gas Applications.

This position can be based anywhere in Canada, but Saint-Laurent, Quebec is preferred, and is 35 hours per week.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Promote Low Pressure products to the Canadian Municipal market in order to achieve assigned sales revenue goals.
  • Source and sell equipment to customers within your assigned region.
  • Prepare technical proposals and quotes to comply with the engineering specifications of the site.
  • Select the appropriate equipment, accessories and control systems.
  • Provides technical support to the manufacturer representatives during the bidding process.
  • Review and negotiate the terms and conditions with the final contractors.
  • Ensure a proper transition to our Engineering team after the order is awarded.
  • Develop, in a sustainable way, the manufacturer representatives’ network within the assigned region.
  • Supporting in other related tasks and projects
  • Complying with the organization’s environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards
To succeed, you will need:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of external sales experience, preferably in indirect sales or via distribution.
  • Experience in wastewater application and municipal market would be a great advantage.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent knowledge gained from experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in both French and English (in order to communicate with customers across Canada).
  • Strong ability to analyze, assess and implement programs and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of compressed air systems, ideally in the low pressure market.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and a CRM system.
  • Ability to produce reports, analyze data, prepare sales presentations and deliver high quality training.
  • Must be eligible to work and travel in Canada.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
