Job summary

CoolIT, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a trusted customer-facing expert to drive growth in global data center liquid cooling markets from Calgary, Canada. You will showcase deep product knowledge via technical reports, guiding early-stage planning while balancing technical and commercial risks.

You will build strong customer relationships, expand portfolio adoption across CDUs, racks, and software, and stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applications engineering, technical sales, or product development.
• 5+ years experience in HVAC or data center thermal technologies (preferred).
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and quick learning.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth across all datacenter liquid cooling markets, including hyperscale, colocation, and server OEM/ODMs.
• Secure new product introduction (NPI) opportunities with deep product knowledge via technical reports and presentations (3D CAD renders and simulations).
• Guide customers through early-stage product planning with balance of technical and commercial risks.
• Build strong relationships with customers as their go-to liquid-cooling resource.
• Expand adoption across CDU, rack manifolds, cold plate loops, and software solutions.
• Stay up to date on liquid cooling industry codes, standards, and trends.
• Provide feedback to internal product team on market and feature requirements.
• Represent CoolIT as a liquid cooling expert in industry groups such as Open19, OCP, and ASHRAE TC9.9.

What You Will Do

• Stay up to date on liquid cooling industry codes, standards, and trends.
• Provide feedback to internal product team on market and feature requirements.
• Represent CoolIT as a liquid cooling expert in key industry groups such as Open19, OCP, and ASHRAE TC9.9.

Position Details

• 20% or more international travel.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applications engineering, technical sales, or product development.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in HVAC or data center thermal technologies.
• Passionate about new technologies.
• A self-motivated individual with a thirst for knowledge that moves fast.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear and concise manner.
