Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects from requirements through lifecycle. You will plan requirements with internal customers and communicate risks and trade-offs to executives and engineers alike.

In this role, you will manage engineering-specific programs and teams, influencing priorities and delivering scalable processes across the Google Cloud organization to support global growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
  • 8 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management, or a related domain.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 8 years of leadership experience with direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of TPgMs, guiding career development, coaching, mentoring and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Drive cross-functional programs across large work groups spanning multiple teams and proactively manage stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with leadership on program decisions including scope, requirements, staffing, planning and execution.
  • Demonstrate strategic impact by building cross-functional tools and processes to improve operation efficiency and scale.
  • Foster alliances with Program Manager functions to scale efforts across the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • 8 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management or a related domain.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 8 years of experience in leadership role(s) with direct reports.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Product Trust, Security, Reliability and Resilience programs, Disaster Recovery.
  • Expertise navigating competing technical priorities and programs.
  • Basic understanding of Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence concepts.
  • Ability to translate technical program details into executive-level summaries.
  • Ability to influence across a cross-functional organization.
