Your role :

Global Relay delivers enterprise services to 23,000 customers in 90 countries, including 22 of the top 25 global banks. Technical Product Managers (TPMs) are part of the Product Management team responsible for executing product strategy, prioritizing and aligning roadmaps, and researching and defining enhancements and upgrades to Global Relay services.

Reporting to a Group Product Manager, TPMs in Platform Services are responsible for delivering the product roadmap, driving new products and features through development. Our Platform Services group handles the ingestion of hundreds of millions of messages daily, maintaining our promise of secure, resilient, and highly available services. You will work closely with a pod of developers, mainly in Halifax, to define and deliver projects from analysis to post-release, leading agile ceremonies, grooming backlogs, planning sprints, and monitoring progress.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Development Pods, and Stakeholders worldwide to ensure the delivery of comprehensive solutions across teams and product lines.

What You'll Do :

In a dynamic team environment, the TPM is responsible for :

• Being the primary product expert for your components
• Triaging tickets and assigning them appropriately
• Following up on project statuses, dependencies, and risks
• Sharing status reports with managers
• Addressing impediments with stakeholders
• Generating reports, Wiki pages, and artifacts for transparency
• Owning end-to-end delivery of your components
• Creating estimates, tracking progress, and reporting via dashboards
• Collaborating on backlog and roadmap management
• Developing new features and strategic roadmaps
• Translating roadmap initiatives into requirements and artifacts
• Managing cross-component dependencies
• Removing obstacles with cross-department collaboration
• Supporting release activities with training and documentation
• Prioritizing and refining team backlogs
• Leading sprint planning and participating in agile ceremonies
• Understanding the platform's design, logic, and architecture

About You :

• 4+ years of product management experience in a technical environment
• Background in computer science, engineering, or related fields
• Ability to work effectively with engineering teams and translate technical concepts
• Understanding of backend systems, microservices, databases, messaging systems, and modern architectures
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing technical backlogs and working cross-functionally
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
• Proven success in delivering technical products in fast-paced settings

Nice to Haves :

• Understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP) and data formats
• Experience with large-scale microservices architectures and related technologies (Java, Kubernetes, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Ceph, Pulsar)
• Knowledge of data governance and lifecycle management
• Experience in SaaS, messaging, or enterprise software
• Strong skills in domain modeling, workflow design, and technical documentation
