Overview

Palitronica is seeking a Technical Lead, Software to provide technical leadership for the design, development, and delivery of PowerFuzzer. This role shapes software architecture, drives engineering quality, and guides the team through execution while remaining hands-on in critical technical areas.

The Technical Lead works closely with Product, Hardware, Machine Learning, DevOps, QA, and customer-facing teams to translate product and business needs into reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions. This is a senior individual-contributor leadership role with strong influence over technical direction, delivery practices, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical design and implementation across signal acquisition and processing, backend services, web applications, and device or platform integrations.
  • Define and evolve software architecture, interfaces, data flows, and development standards to support product scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Break down complex product and technical problems into clear implementation plans, make pragmatic trade-offs, and guide the team through execution.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, debugging support, prototyping, and direct contribution to critical areas of the codebase.
  • Partner with Machine Learning and signal-processing specialists to guide the design and validation of workflows that extract reliable information from noisy, dynamic signals.
  • Mentor software developers and grow the team's technical capabilities through coaching, feedback, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Identify technical risks, architectural gaps, and delivery blockers early, and drive practical solutions to resolution.
  • Promote strong engineering practices, including automated testing, observability, CI/CD, version control, documentation, release discipline, and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with Product, Hardware, Machine Learning, DevOps, QA, and field or customer teams to deliver successful end-to-end solutions.
  • Contribute to technical planning, estimation, and prioritization while fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and pragmatic execution.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial backend and full-stack delivery experience, preferably using C++, C#, or Java.
  • 3+ years of experience leading the technical direction of projects or teams while remaining hands-on in design and implementation.
  • Strong software architecture and system-design skills, with the ability to balance long-term quality with practical delivery needs.
  • Experience building and maintaining production-grade distributed systems, APIs, cloud-connected applications, or edge and device-integrated software.
  • Strong understanding of software quality practices, testing strategies, CI/CD, version control, and release processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical execution across multiple contributors and collaborate across software, hardware, product, and customer-facing disciplines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical mentoring skills, with comfort operating in a fast-moving product environment.
Nice to Have
  • Advanced knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP), with proven experience isolating signals from noise and developing calibration or processing algorithms for accuracy and reliability in dynamic environments.
  • Experience with ADCs, digitizers, high-rate data acquisition, or instrumentation hardware.
  • Experience with message-bus, publish-subscribe, or event-streaming technologies such as NATS or Apache Kafka.
  • Experience developing modern single-page applications using React, Vue, Angular, or a comparable framework.
  • Experience with containerization, orchestration frameworks, and cloud-native or serverless system design in any major cloud environment.
  • Experience with IoT, edge systems, device management, observability, deployment automation, or industrial software environments.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing deployments or troubleshooting production issues in the field.
