Job summary

TD Bank Group in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Technical Lead, Reporting Platform to lead the evolution of our large-scale data and reporting ecosystem within the Treasury & Balance Sheet Management domain.

You will design and optimize SQL Server data warehouses, build ETL pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions while driving cloud modernization on Azure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development, database engineering, data engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including complex SQL, data modeling, stored procedures and tuning.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot or C#/.Net applications.
• Experience building and supporting ETL, data integration, or data engineering solutions.
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Spark SQL, or other big data technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience leveraging software development AI tools such as GitHub Copilot.

About the Team

The Treasury & Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) Technology team delivers critical data, reporting, and analytics solutions that support Treasury, Finance, Risk, and regulatory functions across TD.

As part of the Reporting Platform team, you will help lead the evolution of a business-critical reporting ecosystem used across TBSM. The platform includes a large-scale SQL data warehouse, data integration services, reporting solutions, and cloud modernization initiatives. You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and data specialists across multiple locations to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.

What You'll Do

As a Technical Lead / Software Development Manager you will support and evolve a business-critical reporting and data platform used across the Treasury and Balance Sheet Management department (TBSM). More specifically, you will:

• Lead the development, support, and enhancement of large reporting and data platforms.


• Design, develop, and optimize large-scale Microsoft SQL Server databases and data warehouses.


• Develop and support applications using modern software engineering practices.


• Design and maintain ETL and data processing pipelines in Big Data environments.
