Talantir seeks a Technical Lead - Cloud Data Warehouse to steer a team of data engineers, analysts, and architects in delivering modern data platforms. You will guide architecture, data modeling, and governance while hands-on developing ETL/ELT pipelines and enabling secure, scalable solutions for client environments.

You will collaborate with client teams to align data strategies with business goals, mentor staff, and contribute to pre-sales.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data warehouse, data modeling, ETL, BI projects.
• 5+ years client-facing consulting experience.
• 3+ years hands-on Snowflake experience.
• 3+ years Python development and ETL tooling.
• 3+ years leading technical teams of data engineers/architects.
• Cloud projects in AWS, Azure or GCP and ongoing certifications.

Job Description

The Technical Lead - Cloud Data Warehouse provides overall leadership to the team of data engineers, analysts and architects to implement world-class data solutions that meet our clients’ diverse business objectives and needs. This role is both a client-facing consulting role and a hands‑on programming/development role. Working with teams of internal and clients’ data engineers and architects, this role will lead in the delivery on modernizing their current data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data lakes and data marts. This role will be responsible for leading and contributing to the team responsible for the architecture and development of data ingestion processes, performance, administration, and design of database structures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise team activities including work scheduling, technical direction, and standard development practices; staff project and/or production support activities being mindful of the associated costs.
• Assist in the delivery of cloud-based data warehouse, lake, and mart solutions
• Understand data landscape i.e. tooling, tech stack, source systems etc. and work closely with client technology teams to improve data collection, quality, reporting and analytics capabilities
• Design, document, and implement data warehouse strategies, including building ETL, ELT, and Data Pipeline processes
• Develop processes for loading and transforming of large volumes of structured and semi-structured data
• Responsible for data architecture, data modeling and data governance to implement high-performance, highly secure solutions
• Participate in data warehouse development by defining metadata and security standards
• Perform a variety of tasks to facilitate completion of projects including but not limited to coordinating communication with outside departments, writing documentation and specifications, testing, and consulting
• Mentor less experienced team members
• Support pre-sales and solution engineering activities

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in data warehouse, data modeling, ETL, BI projects
• 5+ years experience working in client-facing, consulting role
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse
• 3+ years hands‑on experience in python development and ETL tools (Matillion, Talend, etc)
• 3+ years experience leading technical team of data engineers and architects
• Completed cloud warehouse projects in at least 2 of AWS, Azure, GCP cloud technologies
• Maintain and achieve technical cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Snowflake)
• Ability to work and communicate with both business and technical experts
• College or University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science and/or relevant degree
