Job summary

Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will have Salesforce knowledge and will be the liaison between business stakeholders and technology development teams, ensuring the business requirements and vision are clearly documented and communicated. You will work with project teams to support delivery of enhancements and incident resolution, providing a high level of professional service to stakeholders consistent with Scotiabank's core values and acting as a positive agent of change within the organization.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that requirements are clearly, accurately and thoroughly documented and understood for both system changes and/or process changes, adding value to the user experience. Experience must include both Agile and Waterfall.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and manage expectations.
  • Manage timely communications to business stakeholders and conduct training and development programs to support user learning and adoption of new Salesforce enhancements.
  • Prepare and execute test cases as part of functional and end-to-end testing, leveraging general and Salesforce-specific best practices.
  • Monitor, evaluate training activities, program effectiveness and KPIs to ensure success of change initiatives.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the product backlog and work within a project team to translate business requirements into the right digital technology products.
  • Support the project team in overcoming roadblocks and ensure minimal impact on business processes.
  • Manage timely and accurate delivery of tasks for assigned projects through all stages of the project life cycle, including tracking tasks, mapping process flows, documenting requirements/stories, testing, liaising with Business, Development and Vendors, and executing the communication plan.
  • Provide support and guidance with test validations, implementation, and transitioning the change to a steady-state maintenance function.
  • Deliver artifacts to meet Scotiabank’s Enterprise Delivery Framework, including assisting in the creation of Business Cases and cost/benefit analyses to ensure benefits are achieved.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills, including end-to-end ownership on behalf of the Product Owner during project execution.
  • Experience with both functional and non-functional testing on the Salesforce platform.
  • Ability to prepare testing documents such as test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, test data spreadsheets, and test execution reports.
  • Knowledge of training methodologies and ability to tailor them to business needs.
  • Strong verbal and business writing skills to communicate with stakeholders at different levels in a cross-functional environment.
  • Skilled in the project lifecycle, methodologies, and expected outputs.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with drive to push solutions forward.
  • Experience working with a technology product from end to end, through delivery.
  • Experience with Agile processes and principles.
  • CBAP or other BA certification preferred.
  • Banking domain experience preferred.
  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related work experience in financial services, preferably back-office.
  • Experience with Salesforce and 1-2 Salesforce certifications preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and JIRA/Confluence.
