Job summary

Abbeal SAS is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to define the data model and storage strategy for the next generation of regulatory reporting tools in a Montreal-based hybrid, long-term engagement. The role focuses on cloud and AI-enabled solutions, data governance, and scalable architectures.

You will lead the evaluation of the stack, design governance for AI-driven components, and outline a cloud migration roadmap aligned with performance targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technical architecture.
• Experience in data modeling and databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
• Cloud architecture expertise (AWS, IBM Cloud, GCP) and model governance.
• Knowledge of responsible AI practices and governance.

Responsibilities

A major bank is launching a proof of concept and market study for the next generation of its regulatory reporting tool, and is looking for a senior technical architect.

Context

The project defines the data model, storage strategy and processing pipelines for the next reporting platform, incorporating responsible AI practices.

The role

You define the data model and storage strategy, evaluate and standardize the technical stack, run performance and load testing, and document the cloud migration roadmap.

Profile

• 10+ years in technical architecture
• Experience in data modeling and databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL)
• Cloud architecture and platforms (AWS, IBM Cloud, GCP)
• Knowledge of responsible AI practices and model governance
• Stack: Angular 17+, Spring Boot, Python (FastAPI/Django), Node.js, Camunda, Airflow, Spark, Kafka
