THE OPPORTUNITY:
Tundra has an opportunity for a Technical Analyst Student for the summer of 2026 (May–August) based out of our Winnipeg, Manitoba office.
REPORTS TO: Technical Support Leader
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Provide IT technical support for employees, including troubleshooting and resolving issues for end users, devices, and applications
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate department or technician
- Document and resolve issues in the JIRA service management system
- Maintain and upgrade computers, peripherals, and applications
- Manage employee onboarding and departures, ensuring systems and access are granted or removed as instructed
- Conduct research on products, services, standards, and best practices
- Utilize self-help portals and knowledge bases to empower users; update and create content as needed
- Track and manage Tundra asset inventory using asset management systems
- Communicate pertinent activities and issues during daily team meetings
- Assist and cross-train in other supporting roles, including systems and networking
- Participate in on-call rotation and responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED:
- High School Diploma
- Must be enrolled in post-secondary education for Information Technology and returning to studies in September 2026
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- ITIL, Microsoft, or CompTIA certifications (recommended)
- Experience with business technology
- Familiarity with Microsoft Server 2016/2022 and VMware technologies
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, RSAT tools
- Ability to work with hardware (desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, monitors, cell phones)
- Understanding of business software and systems (email, Microsoft Teams, remote access)
- General knowledge of infrastructure technology (routers, switches, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to conduct effective research and work independently
- Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Adherence to Tundra’s Safety Policy and safety accountabilities
