He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Situated in our Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre, as a Team Member, no two days will be the same! You will help us deliver an exciting range of activities, school holiday programmes, and other sporting activities, including refereeing for our netball and basketball games.

In this role, you will assist with weekend birthday parties, run holiday programs for children ages 5-13, coach young kids in sports, provide excellent customer service, help deliver various children\'s activities, maintain a safe and fun environment, support Centre management with admin and operational tasks, and assist with sporting leagues and scheduled programs.

This is a 7-hr permanent part-time role. Shifts below:

  • Monday 6pm - 9pm
  • Tuesday 5:30pm - 7:30pm
  • Thursday 4pm - 6pm
He kōrero mōu: About you

You’ll already be passionate about sports and recreation, and ready to step into a frontline customer service role. It goes without saying that you’ll be responsible when it comes to working with children. You’ll have a flexible approach and be able to use your initiative to facilitate suitable programmes for kids. An enthusiastic team player, you’ll have a positive attitude and infectious energy and be committed to providing your customers with an exceptional experience.

Ideally, you’ll hold a First Aid Certificate and understand health and safety procedures, however, we can provide training for this. While previous experience working with children is beneficial, it’s not essential. Importantly, you’ll be committed to maintaining a high degree of professionalism in your work.

Salary range: $28.95/hr (living wage)
