Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join as a Team Manager, Business Banking Specialists providing assigned team of Business Banking Specialists (BBS) with the product knowledge and conversation skills to have effective Small Business Banking advice conversations.

Reporting into the Group Manager, SBB you will lead assigned teams of BBSs to ensure customer problems are handled effectively, using customer problem resolution guidelines and participate in the analysis and resolution discussions, as needed. You will lead and coach on advice‑giving strategies to improve the overall Small Business Banking customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for management of a group of Business Banking Specialists providing both leadership and guidance on assigned mandate, that includes but is not limited to new account opening, signing authority changes and simple credit for SBB.
  • Providing on‑going updates to the Senior manager on performance metrics and issues that arise.
  • Accountable for all aspects of people management including quarterly and annual performance, recruitment, training, career and personal development and performance management.
  • Assist and support BBS with all customer escalations as they arise.
  • Provide supervisor overrides where needed for all Business Account openings, maintenance and simple credit. Assist with all simple credit applications submission and completion.
  • Work collaboratively with AMSB/RAMSB to ensure all customers' needs are met.
  • Lead the transformation and adoption of direct‑to‑customer distribution model and ensure high adoption of channel from retail branches on business banking needs.
  • Lead the onboarding of Business Banking Specialist and assist with training.
  • Developing and strengthening BBS skills by providing tools and resource to drive meaningful advice conversations, including managing difficult conversations.
  • Provide regular updates on team performance for the following metrics LEI, Productivity, Cross‑sell and FTR rates.
  • Manage performance objectives for the team; track, monitor and effectively address and/or reward performance in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve business objectives, sales goals and referrals to increase profitability and enable business growth.
  • Contribute to business objectives for Operational Excellence.
  • Ensure documentation that is prepared / completed is accurate and properly reflects client / business intentions.
  • Assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct.
Job Requirements
  • 5 years or more experience in direct‑to‑customer phone channel.
  • Prior experience in Small Business Banking product and services required.
  • Undergraduate degree is required.
  • Experience leading and developing teams is an asset.
  • Knowledge of TD System including HOST, C3, Admin Apps, iCAL etc.
  • A self‑starter who works independently in a dynamic work environment through strong administration, organizational, planning and time management skill.
