A leading automotive manufacturer in Windsor is seeking a Team Manager for Production to lead a production team and optimize performance using Lean principles. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and extensive experience in manufacturing and Lean initiatives. Responsibilities include coaching teams, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring production goals are met. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
The Team Manager – Production leads, coaches, and develops a production team to meet or exceed SQDCPME targets (safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, morale, environment). They ensure daily production goals are achieved, maintain compliance with health and safety requirements, and drive continuous improvement using Ford Production System principles.
In addition to standard Team Manager duties, this role deploys advanced Lean methods and optimizes Materials, Planning & Logistics (MP&A) within their area. The Team Manager leads Kaizen, VSM, and SMED efforts; drives machining and tooling optimization; owns local inventory performance; and partners closely with Maintenance and Process Engineering to deliver measurable improvements in RTY, JPH, and cost. This position is a hands‑on change leader and mentor who translates Lean projects into sustained operational results.
