Responsibilities
- Dealing with daily challenges. Motivate employees and ensure adherence to organizational goals, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate, organize, and supervise the team to carry out day-to-day operations within the stores and ensure planning is followed
- Take the necessary measures to protect health and safety to prevent work-related accidents
- Take the necessary measures to protect the environment by ensuring compliance with regulations and laws in force
- Distribute work among team members to operate the stores in an optimal way
- Support team members in resolving problems encountered
- Resolve daily shipping and receiving problems
- Evaluate the integrity and quality of incoming and outgoing orders
- Communicate with purchasing for information regarding the quality of products received and any damages
- Ensure receipt, storage, and distribution of products, spare parts and components
- Maintain records and reports of receipts, issues, and inventory
- Coordinate continuous improvement projects related to stores and inventory
- Engage with team members in cyclical inventory counts
- Maintain order and cleanliness of stores and work areas
Qualifications
- DEC plus 3 to 5 years of experience as a team leader in the industrial field, warehousing, or operations
- You must have a vehicle - Ability to move easily from one store to another (Montreal and Laval)
- Bi-lingual: French and English, both oral and written
- Keen ability to make decisions, coordinate, organize, and supervise a team
- Keen ability to manage multiple files and deadlines
- Keen ability to offer excellent customer service
- Computer savvy with good knowledge of computer tools. Ability to use analytical reports and ability to learn quickly
- Experience in loading/unloading with a forklift is an asset
