About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for the organization and the supervision of the daily operation of the Nuclear Medicine, Bone Mineral Densitometry and Radiation Safety Officerin the Division of Diagnostic Imaging at Nova Scotia Health. In addition to the above‑noted supervisory role, the successful applicant will also perform clinical duties within their fields of competency.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) Nuclear Medicine licensure
  • Minimum (3) three years’ recent experience required working as a (Nuc Med) technologist in a hospital setting
  • Formal management course preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities in a multi‑modality/site imaging department.
  • Ensures competency, and maintains an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures
  • Practices excellent patient care; demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to prioritize upon short notice while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well‑developed decision‑making, analytical, interpretation, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills
  • Conflict management skills and knowledge of appropriate resources
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Permanent full‑time position; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Benefits

Team Lead for MRT's (HTH627): $38.79 - $49.48 hourly

Team Lead for Specialty NM/CT/MR/IV (HTH830): $38.43 - $50.99 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long‑term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
