Reporting directly to the Regional Supervisor, Cleaning, the Cleaner will work as part of a team that will consistently maintain a high level of cleanliness within the facility. The Cleaner will ensure that members have a clean and safe facility to enjoy all that the YMCA of Eastern Ontario has to offer.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all cleaning staff follow all established protocols, monitoring all areas by walking throughout the facility regularly
• Enter the change rooms on a regular basis for ongoing cleaning and to keep the supplies and equipment in good order
• Know, follow and promote all established procedures and safety standards
• Monitor supplies and notify Regional Supervisor of shortages
• Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services
• Perform pool chemistry tests and record readings
• Ensure good relations with YMCA staff, members, guests and the public
• Lift and carry supplies weighing up to 40 lbs (18kg) as necessary and physically able to meet the demands of the role
• Assist with coverage of shifts as needed
