McGill University seeks a part-time Lab Teaching Assistant for MIMM 413 Parasitology. You will assist coordinators, help prepare labs, calibrate microscopes, and supervise weekly sessions, guiding students through protocols and safety practices.
You will also help grade lab reports, assist with lab exam prep, and communicate with students by email or in person. Prior parasitology exposure is a plus.

Meeting with the course coordinators and technicians once a week to discuss lab set up and protocols prior to each lab. Help to set up labs before students arrive and put away equipment after the lab session. Supervise the students during weekly lab sessions including answering student questions about the lab, how to use lab equipment, work safely, calibrate equipment including microscopes, show students parasite specimens under the microscope. Show students how to interpret laboratory results. Correct lab reports and communicate with students by email or in person to answer questions. Help set up and correct lab exam at end of semester.
