Position

Title of Course: Integrative Techniques for Professional Practice

Compensation: Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications held.

  • Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $22.07 per hour. (Rate effective September 1, 2024)
  • Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $34.73 per hour. (Rate effective September 1, 2024)
  • In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.

Duties: The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as required).

  • Must have obtained a degree in Kinesiology or equivalent, and be enrolled in a Kinesiology graduate program.
  • Must have experience with or knowledge of the course material.
