This posting is for one unionized contractual appointment. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM).

Position Summary:

This requisition is for one position, at 75 hours for the term, in the Department Kinesiology and Physical Education. Course dates are January 5, 2026 to April 14, 2026. Effective dates of appointment are December 29, 2025 to May 1, 2026.

Required Duties:

  • Evaluation/mark assessments (e.g., tests, quizzes, and/or written assignments);
  • Lead and facilitate activities/discussions in-class and/or on myCourses;
  • Assist with the management of myCourses content;

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate (master’s or PhD) student enrolled at McGill University, ideally the Kinesiology and Physical Education program.
  • Completion of an undergraduate or graduate course in exercise/health psychology (or a closely related course)
  • Familiarity with course content.
  • English, spoken and written.
  • French, spoken and written, is an asset
